Have you considered both sides ?

Published by garryblanson under Uncategorized

Someone once said, there are always two sides
to every story. Then, another person did that person
one better and said. No,there are always three sides
to a story;the first person’s side,the second person’s
side, and the truth. Well, in this case we will only deal
with these two sides, the good and the bad.
So often people focus so much on the bad side of things,
they become so confused and frustrated; they often go
around depressed,unhappy,and dissatisfied. Recently,I had
a conversation with someone who was going through some
things. After we had talked for ten or fifteen minutes,I asked
the question, have you considered the two sides? I suggested
getting a pen and paper and writing down the good things on
one side of the paper.Next,I suggested writing down the bad
things on the other side of the paper. I said, even if the bad
out number the good; focus on the good side.Don’t deny
that the bad things exists, just choose to think on the good
things. It’s amazing, when you focus on the good things;you
tend to identify other good things.More importantly, you tend
to look for and find solutions to some of the bad things.Mainly
because you stopped focusing on the bad things and started
appreciating the good things. This little piece of information has
helped me for many years. Now,I’m passing it along so that it
may help you as well.

Hello everybody,
I hope that you all had a superfantastic strong-end!
I’ll take a brief moment to thank everyone for helping us

member was Elin W ( http://htctouchscreen.com ).
Elin W is not only a new garryblanson.com community
member; she’s also a new Mybloglog member as well(she
just joined in March. Please visit her blogsite when you can.
We couldn’t have done it without strong community
support. Again,we thankyou all!
Well, the next 7 days are going to really open your eyes.
This guy has so many blogsites,we can’t even call it our
featured blogsite. http://euroyank.blogspot.com
euroyank has plenty of blogger experience and recently
he completed a task that really put his expertise to the
test.He scratched his sites previous graphics and a lot of
other things I won’t even try to mention. The amazing thing
about it all to me was that it was such a seamless transition.
This guy really knows his stuff!
One thing I can assure you of,is that you will see plenty
of mind-blowing videos.I still can remember the first video
I saw at http://euroyank.blogspot.com . It showed a side
of the war in Iraq that I had hardly ever seen(don’t worry
euroyank,I won’t spoiled their surprise).
Once again, everyone is learning how I feel about our
garryblanson.com community members.I really believe
that the best thing we can do is to visit each others
blogsites and leave our comments. Many of my ideas have
come from visiting other members blogsites.

Do you “Sweep” good?

Published by garryblanson under Uncategorized

I hope that nobody thought that I was talking about
using a broom. No, the sweep I’m referring to is the word
I use to represent these five goals :

1. sleep
2. work
3. exercise
4. eat
5. pray(plan)

I know that I will have other things to get done. However,
these are high priority.If I don’t do these daily,I can’t expect
to be at my best. Also,my body won’t perform the way that
it should. Before you know it,life has happened, and you are
still wondering why. I’ve learned, when I really want to get
something done. I need to turn it into a goal.
This is my definition of a goal for me is :

1. it has to be my goal ( I have to claim it as mine)

2. it has to be specific ( it needs to be definite;don’t generalize)

3. it has to have a budget (always include money)

4. it has to be desirable ( I have to want to do it )

5. I must understand it (what I’m trying to do )

6. it should be achievable (within my abilities)

7. it has to be believable ( I need to believe that I can do it)

8. it must be measurable (someoneelse can tell that I finished it)

9. it must have a deadline ( a date to be done )

10. NO EXCUSES ( NO EXCUSES! )

- If it doesn’t include all ten of these points, then it’s just
something I wished would happen or something that I
hoped to accomplish (but it never reached goal status).
