Nothing More Than FEELINGS…

Published by garryblanson at 12:08 pm under Blogs

I was just riding along in the car and an old melody went across
my mind.I remember first hearing it in the late 70’s.Although I can’t
tell you who wrote it.For some reason,I still picture hearing the voice
singing these words.Feelings, nothing more than feelings.Trying to
forget my,feelings of love.
Those words are in alignment with what I had listened to a couple
of days ago.The cd I listened to talked about, sometimes the reason
a person overeats is because;they’re not eating to get full. They’re
actually eating to recapture the good “feeling”they had the last
time they ate(food, candy, and drinks included). The samething can
be said about many of the addictions people have. They want to
experience that same good “feeling”,over and over and over again.
Yes,guard your thinking, and you better darn well try to control your
“feelings.” Your “feelings” are directly connected to your emotions,
and they can affect your thoughts.Which in turn can cause a negative
effect.”Feelings” have been linked to fights, breakups, and even killings!
Also,on the flipside of things.”Feelings” can lead to positive things as
well.Motivation, inspiration, and desire all gain strength through our
“feelings.”However,it’s the negative “feelings” that do the most damage
and steal the most joy.
Well, how can you alter the negative “feelings?” You can modify the
negative”feelings” by doings these things:

1. pray,pray,pray
2. set positive goals
3. don’t prejudge the outcome of things
4. create a positive environment around you
5. read positive books,magazines,and articles
6. learn to recognize when you’re being negative
7. look for the good in people, situations, and things
8. listen to positive people(cd,tape, dvd, radio, and tv)
9. keep a positive mental attitude(think positive thoughts)
10. avoid or spend very little time around negative people, places, and things

“Feelings,”nothing more than “feelings,” trying to forget my …

That’s so funny. I remember that song on the Gong show!
It’s strange how easy it is for us to give into negative feelings and thoughts.
I like your #1 tip. Sometimes it can also be the hardest when we’re feeling negative.
    Nice post.

Pray, pray , pray-I was on a job a couple of years ago and the folks there were so negative it hurt my heart. I had to distance myself from them because they would literally drain ever ounce of joy out of me. I’ve have sense found other employment and have been able to surround myself with possitive and uplifting co-workers.

    Pray, pray, pray!

Negative people and thoughts can ruin anything. What people fail to realize is the power to change something starts within yourself. Quit finger pointing unless the finger you are pointing is aimed at yourself. We all point the finger at others sometimes, but some people live just to blame others. Notice how irresponsible most of those people are. When you live blaming others all the time, you live an unhappy life. There is no responsiblity. You are so busy trying to prove you were not to blame you miss the lesson that is to be learned. Honestly sometimes I rather be wrong than right because that is how I learn. Now I am not saying just be wrong all the time, but accept that you are wrong when you are wrong. I believe in life when you make a mistake you should acknowledge, apologize for it, correct it, learn from it, and hopefully never repeat it again. However I agree it starts with prayer because it is the plans we work without God that fail us the most. I have learned this lesson many times over because you know what it is easier said than done.
