Can he turn it around?

Published by garryblanson under Uncategorized

Well,I too am keeping a close eye (Mychal)on
this one. Many times (Bell)you here about he did
this or she did that. Then you always wonder;if
they’ll learn from their mistakes and turn their
lives around?I look back at last month’s reporting
on Bryant R.Purvis. / of Jena 6
I wonder, can he turn it around?
Also,I look back at how Michael Vick went from
being a football icon to a locked-up criminal lost
in the justice system.
I wonder, can he turn it around?
We continue to read about Michael Jackson and
his list of problems.Where did they start, where
will they end?
I wonder, can he turn it around?
Finally, the one who helped start what has been
called the biggest civil rights demonstration of the
new millennium. No,you haven’t heard much about
him lately in the media(that’s a great thing).
So far,he’s enrolled back in school and has been a
model student. He probably will never get to play
in another highschool football game(a lot of red
tape involved). He has even accepted the fact
that (for now)it is better for him to not be in
the town of Jena.
But still I wonder, can he turn it around.
Do you who I’m talking about?Do you Know this
fellow?Well good for you. However, for those of
you who haven’t figured it out( Go back to the
top of the page for this article and look for the
two names in parenthesis).
Now that you know who he is;do you know
where he’s at? (I won’t make you hunt for this
one.)You guessed it! He’s right here in the beautiful
city of Monroe, Louisiana.
Yea, this is where I (garryblanson)live.
Are you wondering, can he turn it around?

Have you considered both sides ?

Published by garryblanson under Uncategorized

Someone once said, there are always two sides
to every story. Then, another person did that person
one better and said. No,there are always three sides
to a story;the first person’s side,the second person’s
side, and the truth. Well, in this case we will only deal
with these two sides, the good and the bad.
So often people focus so much on the bad side of things,
they become so confused and frustrated; they often go
around depressed,unhappy,and dissatisfied. Recently,I had
a conversation with someone who was going through some
things. After we had talked for ten or fifteen minutes,I asked
the question, have you considered the two sides? I suggested
getting a pen and paper and writing down the good things on
one side of the paper.Next,I suggested writing down the bad
things on the other side of the paper. I said, even if the bad
out number the good; focus on the good side.Don’t deny
that the bad things exists, just choose to think on the good
things. It’s amazing, when you focus on the good things;you
tend to identify other good things.More importantly, you tend
to look for and find solutions to some of the bad things.Mainly
because you stopped focusing on the bad things and started
appreciating the good things. This little piece of information has
helped me for many years. Now,I’m passing it along so that it
may help you as well.
